Interview with Holy Cross's Jacob Thomson

Jacob Thomson is a sophomore at Holy Cross High School in Louisville.  He won his first Kentucky State title in the 1600m Run in June.  He was 3rd at the Class A Kentucky State Cross Country Meet last fall and then went on to win the Freshman Race at Foot Locker South.  He will be in the hunt for the Class A state title this fall.

Apollo's Justin House: Back from Injury and Ready to Roll

 Justin House is a senior at Apollo High School in Owensboro.  He has been one of the best runners in Kentucky since his freshmen year when he finished 4th at the Class AAA Kentucky State XC Championship.  His junior track season was unfortunately cut short by a foot injury.  He is back for his senior year ready to go back to the top.

Pre-Season Chat with Owen County Senior Danielle Hoop

Danielle Hoop, is a senior at Owen County High School in Owenton, Kentucky.  She is solid in the classroom and on the XC course, as she is ranked #1 in her class with a 4.0 GPA at Owen County.  Every since her runner-up finish in 2005 as a 7th grader she has been one of the top runners in Class A.  She has since added two other Runner-Up finishes and another third place finish.  She answers questions about this coming season and about the possibility of finishing her career on top in cross country.

Help Wanted: XC Photographers

KYtrackXC.com, in an effort to expand coverage, is looking for photographers to take pictures at certain meets throughout the state this cross country season. This would include ALL races being run at the meet that day with preferably 300-400 total pictures for the meet.

Patrick Jenkins Awarded $7,500 Postgraduate Scholarship by NCAA

WKU Cross Country standout Patrick Jenkins has been awarded a $7,500 postgraduate scholarship by the NCAA. A May 2010 lt;br />graduate with a Biology degree, Jenkins will be attending medical school at the University of Kentucky this fall.

Ryan Eaton, 2010 KYtrackXC.com Outdoor and Indoor Distance Runner of the Year will be running not at the University of Kentucky as originally thought, but will be heading up Interstate 65 from Bowling Green to the University of Louisville.
